Day 8

Today is a set back. The infection in his body is still there and his white blood count is still rising it is at 17. His antibiotics have been increased and we are hoping for it to start working he now has an infection specialist doctor. His short term memory also seems to be affected. On the echo cardio there seemed to be some heart damage so today he had a TEE which showed heart valve damage and a murmur so he now also has a cardiothoracic surgeon. His heart will need to be fixed, however he is not a surgical candidate. He is to soon from brain surgery and the infection is also to bad. So what does all this mean, he is really sick and we need to be patient and allow his body to recover. And if anyone has lost count he now has 4 specialist working on his case, he has the best of the best and an amazing support system of family and friends supporting his emotional needs.
